The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled an exciting lineup for the 2025 Civil Service Week, themed around Innovation, Unity, and Performance. The announcement was made by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, at a World Press Briefing in Abuja today.

According to Mrs Walson -Jack, the event, runs from June 20 to 28, and the celebrations mark African Public Service Day (June 23) with a rich array of events designed to honour, inspire, and uplift Nigeria’s civil servants.
Activities include;
Commissioning of the remodeled OHCSF Reception
Juma’at Prayer at the National Mosque and a Thanksgiving Service
A Study Tour of Abuja for State Heads of Service
Wellness activities and a Civil Servants’ Social
A capstone Rewards and Recognition Awards Ceremony.

The headline event, the International Civil Service Conference (ICSC), will serve as a global platform for civil service innovation, culminating in historic recognitions and collaborative strategy-building.
Mrs. Walson-Jack emphasised the significance of the week: “It is a time to reflect on reforms, celebrate achievements, and recommit to citizen-centred governance.”

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service expressed gratitude to key sponsors and reaffirmed its commitment to transforming public service into a world-class institution.
