Hon. Chinedu Ogah, the representative for Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency in the National Assembly, urged contractors handling various government projects in Ebonyi State to demonstrate their commitment to the projects awarded to them by the state government for the benefit of the people of Ebonyi.
In an interview with journalists in Abakaliki, Ogah noted that Governor Francis Nwifuru has been supporting local contractors, ensuring that funds circulate within Ebonyi State. He commended President Bola Ahamed Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru for initiating policies that have positively impacted the lives of the masses.

“President Bola Ahamed Tinubu has made remarkable advancements in many areas. Regarding the economy, he is working hard to implement effective measures. In terms of infrastructure, numerous roads and other projects are underway in each of the political zones. Furthermore, agriculture has benefited, as every member of the National Assembly, including senators, received fertilizers last year, which were distributed to rural farmers across all constituencies.
“In health, the government is undertaking significant initiatives that have promoted the use of locally made goods. In commerce, many investors are coming to the country. When you consider all these developments, we must appreciate him. Progress takes time, and we are gradually achieving our goals.
“We are fortunate to have Mr. Speaker, His Excellency Dr. Tajudin Abbas, who has been supportive of members and focused on improving their lives. He ensured that during the removal of subsidies, members were accommodated and provided with substantial projects in their constituencies,” he stated.
Ogah described Nwifuru as a leader who genuinely cares for his constituents and has made significant contributions to agriculture, commerce, industry, health, and youth empowerment.
He stated, “Nwifuru is a governor who believes in his people and understands their struggles. He actively supports local contractors, ensuring that funds are circulated within Ebonyi State. Based on my observations, nearly 900 kilometres of roads have been completed under his leadership.
“When it comes to agriculture, we have tractors and essential inputs available. In commerce, there are many ongoing initiatives. In the industry sector, improvements are evident, with efforts to empower youths and women to establish their businesses.
“In health, the government has procured hospital equipment, hired doctors, and increased their salaries, implementing numerous initiatives to benefit our citizens. Financially, this governor has significantly reduced Ebonyi’s debt, paying nearly 90% of it off, and he has refrained from borrowing, mand anaging resources effectively.
“I urge those awarded contracts to commit to doing their work well, for the benefit of the people of Ebonyi. We should all support and pray for him to succeed,”.
