Correspondents’ Chapel NUJ FCT Hails Raphael Oni on New Appointment

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT, warmly congratulates its immediate past Secretary, Comrade Raphael Oni, on his appointment as Special Assistant on Digital and Public Diplomacy to the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye.

The Chapel under the Leadership of Comrade Felix Ojo, sees Comrade Raphael Oni’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his professionalism, dedication, competence and commitment to journalism, unionism and national service.

As a professional journalist, Comrade Oni has distinguished himself through diligent service, responsible reportage, sound professional ethics and a sustained commitment to the advancement of journalism.

His contributions to the NUJ, particularly during his tenure as Secretary of the Correspondents’ Chapel, further demonstrated his leadership qualities, administrative capacity and unwavering dedication to the welfare and progress of fellow journalists.

His elevation to the position of Special Assistant on Digital and Public Diplomacy therefore, is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the value of professionalism, hard work and service to the journalism profession and the nation.

The Chapel is confident that Comrade Oni will bring his wealth of experience in journalism, media relations, digital communication and public affairs to bear on his new responsibilities.

His understanding of the media landscape and commitment to effective communication will undoubtedly contribute to the Ministry’s efforts to project Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and strengthen the country’s public diplomacy.

The Correspondents’ Chapel commends the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, for recognising Comrade Oni’s capabilities and entrusting him with this important responsibility.

We urge Comrade Raphael Oni to remain steadfast in upholding the principles of professionalism, integrity, patriotism and excellence as he assumes his new role.
