The Deputy Governor of Niger State, His Excellency, Comrade Yakubu Garba, on Saturday, exercised his civic right by casting his vote at his polling unit in Rafin Kuka, Kuta, Shiroro Local Government Area, during the ongoing Local Government elections across the State.
Speaking shortly after voting, the Deputy Governor lauded the peaceful and orderly conduct of voters and electoral officials, describing it as a positive sign of the people’s commitment to deepening democracy at the grassroots level.

Comrade Garba appealed to residents of Shiroro Local Government and the State at large to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and cooperative throughout the electoral process and after the polls.
Expressing confidence in the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he stated that the party’s performance under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has continued to endear it to the people of Niger State.

He further commended the security agencies, electoral officials, and the electorate for their roles in ensuring a credible, transparent, and hitch free election.
