Gov Bago Commence tour Zone B, Says his Administration is for all Nigerlites

Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago has commenced project monitoring tour in Niger East senatorial district (Zone B), from Munya local government area of the state.

The Governor, while addressing the people of Munya at the local government headquarter, Sarkin Pawa, said his administration is for all Nigerlites, especially the masses.

He disclosed that all the projects of the present administration in the state were people oriented, and listen some of the project the government is carrying out in Munya to includes, roads construction, fire service station and hospital upgrades among others.

The Governor observed that in the past the people of Sarkin Pawa and environs had deserted their homes due to heighten insecurity, but that with the efforts of the present administration peace has relatively returned in the area.

While urging parents in the area to prioritize the education of their children, Governor Umar Bago also promised that government will renovate all the schools in the area and give scholarships to indigent students to study medicine, engineering and other relevant courses. He also promised free uniform and ban PTA fees in all public primary and secondary schools in the state.

He also promised to construct the road linking Sarkin Pawa to Kaduna state to boost economic activities in the area, and urged the youths of Munya to take advantage of the present peaceful atmosphere and cultivate the vast land in the area to enhance food security.

While soliciting for the support of the people for the ongoing projects in the local government, he promised to pay compensation of every structure affected by the ongoing road construction.

The Governor also said they would not stop the youths from engaging in mining activities, but stressed the need for orderliness and in line with laid down rules.

Also speaking ,Jiger East senatorial district, Sen.Sani Musa ,assured the people that the Bago led administration will complete the roas project in record time ,adding that the Governor has directed that solar power streetlights should be fixed along the road to illuminate the environment.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the council Chairman of Munya, Hon. Aminu Abdullahi, the state Commissioner for land and survey, Barr. Maurice Magaji and former Chairman of the state local government service commission, Mr. Peterson Kaura appreciated the Governor for the peace the people of the local government were enjoying presently.

They also appreciated him for all the projects he is carrying out in the local government, but that like Oliver Twist they need more, particularly road projects in Guni and some other communities in the local government.
