Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has been presented an award as the Governor of the Year 2024, in alternative development.
The award which was from the Drug-Free Arewa Movement was presented on behalf of the group by the North Central Coordinator and assisted by the Niger State Coordinator who doubles as the Press Secretary to the Wife of the f Governor, Hajiya Hadiza Maikano.
Hajiya Maikano said the award was in recognition of the support of the Governor in the fight against drug abuse in Niger State.
The Governor appreciated the Drug-Free Arewa Movement for the honour and assured the group of his unflinching support that would tame the tide of drug abuse in the State.
