Following the visit of the Action Commissioner of Police Ebonyi State, CP Anthonia Adaku Uche – Anya, a Police Station is to be established at Ndibe Beach, Afikpo to enhance the security of Afikpo Local Government Area as a Coastal Regional Area of the Ebonyi State.
Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya, announced this cheering news on Friday during her familiarization visit to Afikpo Local Government Area and engagement of stakeholders on how best to boost security and safety of lives and property in the Area.

The event which took place at Afikpo Local Government Headquarters had in attendance notable Political Leaders; Traditional Rulers; Essa Ruling Council; Town Union Presidents; Women Groups; Youth Presidents and so many other Unions and Organizations.
CP Uche -Anya also showered encomium on the Executive Chairman of Afikpo LGA,NWACHI, Timothy A. U for his good working relationship with Security Agencies, promised to establish a new Police Station at Ndibe Beach in response to his appeal for more Police presence in the Beach area especially as it serves as exit route to Cross River, Cameroon and other parts of the World.

The CP who noted that Security of lives and property is everybody’s business, called for collective efforts to end crimes and criminalities in the Society.
She expressed her joy in the mammoth crowd that came out to receive her and implored the people of the Area to report any suspicious movements to Law Enforcement Agencies for prompt action especially this festive period.

Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, NWACHI, Timothy A. U who saw the CP’s visit as a timely one that would further strengthen the existing synergy between him and the Police as well as other Sister Security Agencies, promised that his administration would continue to provide logistical support to security agencies to discharge their duties optimally.

The Council Chairman who also announced donation of motor bikes and huge sums of money to the Police in the Area to boost their security operations, assured that Security shall continue to be top priority in his administration’s agenda.
Some stakeholders who bared their mind including Ezeogo Bassey Onya Idam; Prof Amari Omaka; Chief Dr Donatus Ezeogo Aja; Barr Oby Oko Enyim; Okabue Maurice Isu; Chief Ewans Ogbonnia Ewa; Hon Obinna Agha, Pastor Christopher Ogbonnia Item among others commended the Commissioner of Police for her action plan and made suggestions on various areas of improvement by the Police in line with best practices obtainable in other civilized countries of the world.
