The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru was on Wednesday conferred with the Most Outstanding Governor of the Year Award by the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service, for his numerous projects, aimed at alleviating the citizens of Ebonyi State.
The Award was presented to the Governor by the Commander General of the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service, Dr Osatimehin Joshua Wole during the Closing Ceremony of a 7 Day Capacity Building Training held at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Afikpo, Ebonyi State.
The Commander General praised the overwhelming accomplishments of Governor Nwifuru in Ebonyi State, while thanking him immensely for approving the recruitment of 2, 600 people into the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service, Ebonyi State Command for adequate protection of Forests and Farms in the State adding that they would never disappoint the Governor even as they await the presidential assent to the Bill establishing the organization.
The Award was received on behalf of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru by the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, Hon Nwachi, Timothy A. U who was present to witness the Closing Ceremony.
In his address, the Afikpo Council Boss congratulated the Operatives of The Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service, Ebonyi State Command for their successful 7 Days Capacity Building Training and urged them to take advantage of the knowledge acquired to ensure that the use of the forests and farms for criminal activities was brought to an end.
While expressing optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will give assent to the bill, according legitimacy to the establishment of the Nigerian Hunter and Security Service, the Afikpo Council Chairman implored members of the Organization to remain focused and committed to their primary responsibility of securing Nigerian Forests.
The Closing Ceremony had in attendance the Assistant Commanders General; State Commanders of Imo, Abia, Enugu, Anambra and the host Ebonyi States including Traditional Rulers, Security Agencies and other dignitaries!
An illustrious Son of Amasiri Ekuma Ubaghala, Chief Sunny Ike Ogbonnia, aka Alumaco was at the passing out parade of Nigeria Hunter’s and forest Security Service yesterday 9th October 2024. at NYSC camp Afikpo.
The Patron of the NHFSS. Chief Sunny Ike Ogbonnia, aka Alumaco, President of Ebonyi State Union Dubai, no UAE and the CEO of M2 Gas LTD, announced that “Ebonyi state is the 3rd state to Commission this force with 2,600 personnel after Borno and Katsina according to the National Commander.
Alumaco is coming home with a lot of investment and supporting this force as their patron is another milestone as over 100 Amasiri son’s and daughters were recruited into this force, it will help to fight insecurity in our farm and also create employment to our people and the state.
Chief Ikechukwu congratulated the newly commissioned Officers.
