Joseph Nwobashi member representing Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency, Ebonyi State, in the House of Representatives, has empowered thousands of his constituents with grinding machines, sewing machines, POS machines, and cash to enhance their living status.
The distribution took place at the weekend in the Oshiegbe community, Ezza North local government area of the state.
Governor Francis Nwifuru who was at the event, commended the lawmaker for his quality representation and urged youths in the state to stop destroying leaders of the state on social media and to support them to encourage them to do well.
Earlier in his remarks, the APGA lawmaker said the items are instruments of transformation designed to empower Individuals, families, and communities in the constituency.
He explained that he was equipping the constituents with tools to foster economic independence and drive sustainable development in the constituency.
According to him, he has pursued and delivered transformative projects that have touched the lives of many people in the constituency.
He said, “As the representative of Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, my driving mission has always been to improve the lives of our people, and this empowerment program is a testament to that commitment. Today, we are equipping our constituents with tools to foster economic independence and drive sustainable development.
“The grinding machines, sewing machines, POS machines, and cash gifts being distributed today are not just items-they are instruments of transformation, designed to empower Individuals, families, and communities.
“Reflecting on our achievements so far, I am delighted to say that my journey in the House of Representatives has been marked by milestones that reflect the needs and aspirations of our people. Permit me to highlight a few: On Legislative Advocacy, I have sponsored three bills and supported many other bills that affect the lives of Nigerians positively and motions aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare in our beloved constituency.
“Driven by an unwavering commitment to the development of this constituency, I have also relentlessly pursued and delivered transformative projects that have touched the lives of many. Some of them include the installation of solar-powered streetlights in strategic locations such as Oshiegbe Market Square, Amuzu, Ezeuhu, from Amuzu to Egwudelegu along Oshiegbe Umuezeoka road and Isiphomini villages in Ezza North LGA, as well as Azuoffia village Azuinyaba ward, Onu worse market square, all in Ishielu LGA.
“This initiative has illuminated these areas, fostering economic activities and improving security. My focus on improving infrastructure is also evident in the construction of a six-classroom block, which promises to provide better learning conditions for students in the area.
“Additionally, I have equipped the Oshiegbe Health Center with vital hospital supplies, a project that is ready for commissioning today, reaffirming my dedication to enhancing healthcare access for my beloved constituents.
“In education and empowerment, I have awarded scholarships to not less than 12 brilliant and enterprising students of this constituency helping them pursue their academic dreams. My pride is that the beneficiaries have consistently justified this gesture.
“Furthermore, I have employed over 40 special assistants, funding their salaries from my resources. The aim is to empower and uplift these members of my constituency from poverty. I have taken it upon myself to lead seasonal interventions in critical areas of need such as the distribution of fertilizers to farmers and delivering about three trailers of rice as palliative every Christmas to alleviate hardship and to mark the Yuletide season”
