Francis Nwifuru, governor of Ebonyi State Thursday, presented a total of N396,589, 00,620bn estimated budget for the 2025 fiscal year to the state House of Assembly.
The budget christened “Budget of Economic and Social Development,” according to the government, would change the well-being of the state if utilized responsibly.

The education sector takes N70,143 386 000.00bn as the highest, followed by health with N39,012,563,000.00bn in the budget estimates.
The Gov explained that the budget estimates would guarantee industrialization, economic growth, and an improved standard of living in the state.
He noted that his administration believes that educational training should be repositioned to guarantee entrepreneurial knowledge and the acquisition of skills for economic self-reliance at all levels.

His words, “Pursuant to this, therefore, we have introduced many reforms in the curriculum of basic and secondary education sector to emphasize technology and science.
“To give credence to this, our administration has set out to rejig teaching and learning in public schools through the employment of teachers with bias in technology and entrepreneurial education,” he said.
In the budget estimates, the economic and social sectors are taking the highest with N200, 132,170 000.00, bn and N141, 180,049,000.00bn respectively represent 50.46%35.60%
Administrative and law and justice sectors are taking N50.9b,n representing 22.8,%, and lN4.1b,n representing 1.04% of the total budget.
