Uzoamaka Nwogbaga, an Ebonyi born female philanthropist, has doled about 60 million naira for empowering women and under Privileged persons in the state.
Uzoamaka popularly known as Talk Na Do”, also placed about 40 persons on monthly stipend to ameliorate the hardship in the state.

The empowerment program took place at her husband’s residence at Abofia in Ebonyi local government area of the state on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Nwogbaga told journalists that she embarked on the empowerment gesture as a way of supporting the government of Governor Francis Nwifuru who made human empowerment a priority in his people’s charter of needs program.

She thanked the Nwifuru and wife Uzoamaka Nwifuru for focusing on the welfare of the people.
“I am doing this because I know that our people are suffering and our governor cannot do everything alone. That is why I want to use it to support his government.
“I placed 40 people on monthly stipend and about 300 for empowerment. You can take this money and buy whatever you want to sell. And I budgeted Over 60 million Naira for it.”
She assured of more empowerment to the masses having been uplifted by God.
The Chairman of the occasion, Goddy Ogbaga, commended Mrs. Nwogbaga for her consistent commitment to uplifting the less privileged. “Today’s event is a very special one, and we are glad to be part of it.” he said. He also urged the beneficiaries to use the cash gifts judiciously.

Prince Chinedu Uburu the Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area and ALGON Chairman in Ebonyi in his submission comended the initiative from Mrs Nwogbaga and urged not to be discouraged by critics.
“Some may say you’re seeking a political position, but ignore them. We say thank you, keep doing good remembering the less privilege, God will continue to protect you because you have the mind of giving.”

State Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Stanley Emegha, commended the level of the empowerment program and challenged others especially those who have benefited from the state government including contractors to give back to the society by mobilizing people for an empowerment program.
“When she told me about this plan, I didn’t expect it to be in this magnitude. This should be a challenge to others, especially those who are doing business with the government or holding contracts let them mobilize children ,women to come and stand in their gate and women to fill their compound this way. We must all support the efforts of the governor and complement the work of the state government”.

John Lekpa and some of other beneficiaries described the empowerment as life-changing, with many praying for God’s continued blessings upon the woman.
Items distributed are, wheelchairs for persons with disabilities, food items including bags of rice, cartons of noodles, and wrappers.
