In a bid to boost education in Ebonyi State the State Executive Council, (SEC), Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and Chairman of the Council inaugurated members of the Ebonyi State to Honour the Advisory Committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Hon Patricia Obila.
This is in furtherance of His Excellency’s disposition to citizens’ total participation in governance and rewarding excellence and in exercise of his constitutional mandate.

Appointment of Acting Vice Chancellors
As a follow up to Council’s earlier decision, EXCO after an intensive and exhaustive deliberation approved the appointment of Prof. Ernest Egba, a seasoned Civil Engineer as Acting Vice Chancellor of the ICT University, Oferekpe, Izzi, and Prof. Patrick Akata Nwofe as the Acting Vice Chancellor of
University of Aeronautic and Space Engineering, Ezza, respectively.
The Council further directed the Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education to swear in the appointed Acting Vice Chancellors on Tuesday 20th August, 2024.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Following the request and as necessitated by the sizes of the two communities of Agbaja and Igbeagu, the Council considered and approved the creation of more communities from the two existing communities.
It is to be noted that this Executive Council decision is subject to the legislative concurrence of the State House of Assembly.
