Education Boost : Hayyo Tasks FCT Principals on Upholding Ethical Standards, Commends Minister’s School Projects.

The Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, has called on all FCT principals to ensure they abide by the ethics of their profession, particularly in areas of dressing and moral conduct, both for themselves and their students.

The Secretary for Education made this call when he was addressing the Principals in a meeting, Dr. Hayyo emphasized the importance of sound moral instruction and ethical leadership in schools.

He urged them to serve as role models by dressing appropriately and instilling strong moral values in their students.

He also advised the School Administrators to ensure Students adhere to proper cultural costumes especially during cultural activities while refraining from wearing attire that exposes their bodies.

On illegal charges, the Secretary for Education issued a strong warning to Principals against collection of unauthorized fees.

He added that Principals and Teachers focus must be improving the academic performance of Students and they received quality Education without any form of exploitation.

Dr. Hayyo commended the FCT Administration, under the leadership of the Honorable Minister of the FCT, Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for the massive school rehabilitation and reconstruction projects across the Area Councils, aimed at creating a more conducive learning environment.

He assured the School Administrators that these efforts will continue with more Projects in FCT Schools .

Also speaking, the Director, Education Resource Centre Hajia Nameet Abduralhim outlined the approved charges urging them to abide by it

Responding the President, FCT All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools ( ANCOPSS) ,Alhaji Adam Gupa expressed appreciation to the Secretary for Education for his unwavering support to achieving academic excellence and sound morals in FCT Schools.

He promised the Association’s continued efforts to abide by the ethics of the teaching profession without compromise focus on academic excellence, discipline, and maintaining a high standard of teaching.

Dr. Hayyo commended the Principals for their tireless efforts in making FCT schools excel in external examinations and encouraged them to continue in this direction.
