Eid-el-Fitr: Commissioner Felicitates with Muslims, Eulogizes Governor Yusuf’s Kindness
Muslim faithfuls have been enjoined to continue putting into practice the virtues and lessons learnt during the just concluded Ramadan Fasting.
The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf made the call in his Sallah message to the people of the state contained in a press statement issued from the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry and made available to the newsmen.
Dr, Labaran, who observed his Eid prayer at the Kofar Mata Eid Ground alongside Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, said month of Ramadan is a university Muslims undergo yearly to acquire moral etiquettes and trainings that moulds and shapes their lives towards right direction after stepping out of it.
He noted that righteousness, brotherhood, endurance, feeding the needy, prayers, recitation of the Glorious Quran, etc are what Muslims held firmly in the month so that they become closer to their Creator.
He further noted that after the Ramadan, people are highly expected to continue practicing those most cherished self polished manners in the remaining months of the year with a view to have their past sins forgiven by Allah, the Almighty.
“On this exalted day, I wish to, on behalf of my family, the ministry and its agencies, extend my heartfelt Sallah felicitations to His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, members of the State Executive Council, leadership of our great party, the NNPP and the entire people of Kano over the serene Eid-el-Fitr merriment.
“I wish to respectfully also extend same to our political mentor, the national leader of the NNPP and the grand leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso”, said he.
Dr. Labaran pointed out that Governor Yusuf deserves all the accolades for his compassion to support his people of all categories with the raw and cooked food during Ramadan, stressing that the gesture has helped tremendously in putting smiles to the faces of the people as the country is being tested with trying times of excessively groaning over frequent skyrocketing of the prices of foodstuff and other essential commodities.
The Commissioner asserted that the administration of Governor Yusuf is certainly people oriented came with an excellent blueprint aimed at transforming the state and assuring the standard of living condition and wellbeing of the Kanawa as showcases in less than a year of stewardship of the Governor.
He then urged people to continue identifying with the state government for numerous developmental projects that will touch their lives to be coming up, emphasizing that support and cooperation of the people were the secret of the successes recorded in the just few months of the administration.
Dr. Labaran also enjoined them to be vigilant of their health condition by adhering of advises of health experts at all times and timely visit to the health facilities whenever the need arises as His Excellency is doing everything possible to invigorating and revamping the healthcare system of the state.
He added that the determination of Governor Yusuf to boosting the system could be attested in the areas of appointing capable hands to manage the health agencies, citing example of the Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agencies (DMCSA) that within few months moved out from the bankruptcy of minus N102,238,600.59 million fund value inherited from the previous leadership to plus N19,999.941.12 million.
Other commitments of His Excellency on health, according to the Commissioner, is renovation of primary, secondary and tertiary health facilities, strengthening medical outreach programme where free consultations and drugs are given to people, free maternal commodities to pregnant women, free services and drugs to children at Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital, etc.
Lastly, Dr. Labaran prayed for continued Allah’s support and guidance to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in his struggle to lay a purposeful leadership benefitable to the people of the state.
