Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Youth Mobilization and Development, Comrade Chinedu Emerike, has urged youths in the state to take full advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Emerike, who is also the National President of the FON Youth Movement, said voter registration remains the gateway to participation in governance and a tool for sustaining the achievements of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s administration.

Speaking on Monday in Abakaliki, the SSA stressed that the governor had distinguished himself as a leader of action whose developmental footprints are evident in every ward and community in the state.
“Governor Nwifuru is not a governor of promises but of action. If you go to every community, you will see his signature. If you go to every ward, you will see his projects. This is not campaign talk; this is reality,” Emerike said.
He dismissed concerns about the coalition of opposition forces ahead of the 2027 elections, insisting that the government is confident of victory based on its performance.
“We are not afraid of any coalition. We are waiting for them. They should know there is no chance in Ebonyi Government House because the people can see the governor’s works for themselves,” he declared.
On INEC’s readiness, Emerike expressed confidence in the commission, urging eligible voters to go directly to designated centres for registration.
“Yes, INEC is ready. They are working at the local government level, and we encourage our people to go there and register. Our role is to mobilize and sensitize, and the response has been very positive,” he stated.
He further appealed to Ebonyi youths to embrace the exercise, describing it as a tool to shape their future and safeguard ongoing reforms in employment, infrastructure, health, and education.
“Voter registration is the first step. Without it, you cannot vote, and without voting, you cannot influence leadership. My advice to every youth is simple: go and register. This is your chance to decide your future,” he added.
