EX-Minister Pauline Tallen Hails Grace Ike as First Female Chairman NUJ Abuja Council, Other Excos

The former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, on Tuesday congratulated the newly inaugurated chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike on her successful election and subsequent emergence as first female chairman of the council after establishment 41 years.

Comrade Grace Ike, who paid a courtesy visit to Dame Tallen’s residence in Abuja was in company of the Treasurer, Comrade Sandra Udeike and former President of NAWOJ, RT Evelyn Onyilo.

The former Minister while presenting a Christmas souvenir to the chairman of council wished her success and an outstanding performance in moving the council forward and ensuring welfare of Members is looked into.

Earlier, while briefing the former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Comrade Ike assured of her team’s determination to take the council to an enviable height by prioritizing welfare of members, promoting the image of the union and appealed for support and guidance.

Other Executives elected includes; Vice Chairman, Ndambabo Yahaya and The Secretary of Council, Jide Oyekunle.
