The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Education Quality Assurance Services (FEQAS) have joined forces to host a comprehensive workshop on the revised National Education Quality Assurance Policy. This collaborative effort aims to enhance education quality in the FCT by ensuring that schools meet minimum standards and quality control measures.
The Mandate Secretary of the FCT Education Secretariat, Dr. Danlami Hayyo expressed that the revised policy was a comprehensive framework that addresses various facets of education quality. He said, “The revised policy is a comprehensive framework that addresses various facets of education quality viz – viz monitoring, supervision, assessment, evaluation of schools and capacity development of school leaders and teachers to improve their professional skills and competencies”.

Dr. Hayyo who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, FCT Education Secretariat, Mrs. Joy Okeke, commended FEQAS for their commitment to guiding all relevant Education Quality Assurance stakeholders, towards effective implementation and realization of the vision for an education system that is world class.
The workshop is expected to focus on key areas such as, Whole School Evaluation, Accreditation, Capacity Building, and other key elements.

The Director of the Department of Quality Assurance, Mrs. Hajarat
Titilayo Alayande who is the forerunner of ensuring compliance to set Educational standards in the FCT, appreciated the FCT Minister for investing so much in helping the achieve their goals.
She said, “I humbly wish to commend the Honourable Minister and the Mandate
secretary for Education, for promoting effective Quality assurance activities in the FCT. The department will achieve it’s set goals strengthened by an improved policy framework that
is being x-rayed today.
While highlighting the importance of the event, she said, “This event cannot be over emphasized bearing in mind the global and National concern
and commitment to quality education and significant advancement of the sustainable
development goals of inclusive and equitable quality education that promotes lifelong
learning opportunities for all.”
The collaboration between FCTA and FEQAS demonstrates their commitment to improving education quality in FCT and the nation at large.
