NAWOJ Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, Calls for Peace and Unity

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond, marking the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.


In a statement issued by its National Secretary, Wasilah Ladan, the association described the occasion as a time to reflect on the enduring values of compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude.


NAWOJ also recognised the contributions of Muslim journalists and media professionals, commending their commitment to truth, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.


The association called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding, noting that these values are essential for building a more harmonious and inclusive society.


It further expressed hope that the Eid celebration would bring joy, peace, and abundant blessings to all.


The association also encouraged media practitioners to continue promoting responsible journalism and using their platforms to foster dialogue, tolerance, and national cohesion, especially during festive periods.
