Hope Raisers Global Foundation : The journey so far, Projects big for 2025

By Sharon Akuboh

The Hope Raisers Global Foundation, is a non profit Organization duly incorporated in Nigeria in 2017. Before then she had worked tirelessly from 2011 in few states around Nigeria from talent development among children in primary schools in Abia State, to supporting stay at home mothers, with products for sale and birthing entrepreneurial spirit in them, supporting the girl child with school materials to enable her stay in school especially with her menstrual hygiene, location: Owerri, Imo State. Expand scholarship programme for 1000 children in 2025.

Vision : We are the people’s eyes pointing to the direction of a Hopeful future with Hands empowered to reach where the Heart is.

Mission : Reaching the unreached with the Hope to enable them attain their God given potentials by connecting with their hearts, enlightening their mind and empowering their hands to be vulnerable to humanity.

We have a guiding principle called DEEDs:
Discover
Educate
Empower and
Deploy
These are our guide as humanitarian work can spread across so many areas leaving the organisation overwhelmed if not properly guided.

Moreso, in 2021 the Foundation, decided to pitch our tent in the IDP camps as their challenges were in line with our DEED acronym. We had a well tailored plan for the children, where we tutored them weekly and that lasted for two whole years.

The foundation later narrowed the teachings to summer holidays, this we have successfully carried out for another 2 years without fail, bringing in seasoned professionals who handle topics in their respect fields to meet the needs of the children.

Along the line as we progressed with the children we saw that we can not focus on the children without meeting the need of their mothers which is the Empowerment in the DEEDs acronym, we started looking at what areas we could be of support to the women.

Some areas we pinned down were:
Health Care : Campaigns on reproduction as they were having children without plan, child spacing and particularly “control”.

Education : An enlightened mind becomes a potential catalyst for growth whereever she goes.
Skill acquisition : which will be the catalyst for financial inclusion and economic Empowerment for stable income generation.
