Francis Nwifuru Governor of Ebonyi State Tuesday February 25, 2025 handed over to Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki, a Church building and Pastorage he built for Emmanuel Parish Edupfuachi in Izzi local government area.
Most Revered Dr. Peter Nworie Chukwu dedicated the church for use.
Governor Nwifuru at the event said he donated the church building as token of his gratitude to God for taking him to the present level in life which he never believed he would attend.
Nwifuru noted that he never believed that he would be at the level he is today.
The Governor noted that he started the buildings when he was the Speaker of the state House of Assembly and almost completed it then.
“You can see that I’m not actually celebrating birthday, but I am doing Church dedication to thank God Almighty for all he has done for me in my life.
“I never believed that I will be where I am today.
“I am very grateful to God, and that’s why you can see this good edifice we did for God”, he said.
