The event celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child was organized by Female & More in partnership with Hope Raisers Global Foundation, Azos Legal, Abuja PR, and Social Impact Hub aimed to empower and inspire the young girls in a Senior Secondary School at Lugbe, Abuja to dream big and strive for their goals in life.
The theme of the event was “Girls Vision For The Future”, and it focused on encouraging the girls to think about their aspirations and what they want to achieve in life. Through a series of interactive sessions, the girls were able to explore their dreams, set goals and envision a bright future for themselves.
The event also featured guest speakers, Amb (Mrs) Angonimi David-Imeh the Executive Director of Hope Raisers Global Foundation who shared her personal stories of overcoming challenges and achieving success. The girls were inspired by their stories and motivated to pursue their dreams with determination and perseverance.
In addition to the educational sessions, the event also included panel session, question and answer session anchored by Faith Kaminus, Benita Ezumesu, Orifa Omoshoke, Chita Ada, Promise George and Judith Azudayi, where the girls asked relevant questions bothering them. The girls had a great time bonding with each other and celebrating their strength and potentials, while some got new role models as mentors.

Overall we had over 180 girls at the International Day of the Girl Child event at Government Day Secondary School Lugbe was a huge success. We also supported the girls with Sanitary Pads.
After the event we had a counseling session where Mrs Faith Oseahume Reinhard-Ijeh, Dr (Mrs) Joy Oladimeji, HRGFs Mentors and Mrs Iyobosa Sanni HRGFs Project Manager allowed the girls to talk about their career needs for proper guidance and other personal issues bothering them.
The girls left the event feeling empowered, inspired, and confident in their ability to make a positive impact on the world. Thank you to Female & More, Hope Raisers Global Foundation and other partners for organizing such a wonderful event to commemorate the Intl Day of the Girl Child.
