The Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has attended the funeral of Late Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, the mother of Jigawa State Governor Danmodi at her hometown Kafin Hausa today.
This was contained in a statement issued by Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin on Wednesday, saying her death shocked Governor Yusuf.
The statement expressed the governor’s sincerest condolences to Governor Umar Namadi and the entire family for the mother’s loss.
Governor Yusuf described the Late Hajiya Maryam as a caring mother who dedicated her life in supporting humanity and being a role model and mentored many young women.
The governor prayed to God Almighty to admit her into the Highest Paradise and give the family the fortitude to bear this great loss.
The Governor led government officials to Kafin Hausa, the hometown community of the Governor where late Hajiya Maryam Namadi was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
Governor Yusuf was received by Jigawa State Deputy Governor, Engr. Aminu Usman Umar during the condolence visit. This is because the son of the deceased The Executive Governor of Jigawa is in China on Official duties.
