Kano State Government Declares State of Emergency on Education, Launches Recovery Conference

The Education Recovery Conference has commenced in Kano, marking a significant step towards revitalizing the state’s education sector. The conference, organized by PLANE Nigeria, Arewa Consultative Forum, and the Kano State Government, aims to reposition education in the state.

In his opening address, the Governor of Kano State expressed his commitment to transforming the education system. He highlighted the allocation of 29.95% of the 2024 budget to education, the highest in the country. He also announced various initiatives, including the construction of new classrooms, renovation of schools, and recruitment of teachers.
