The Director General, Media and Publicity, Kano Government, Comrade Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa has advocated for unity amongst the Governor, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf’s media and political aides to ensure synergy, adequate publicity through a set agenda.
The Director General made the advocacy during a three day workshop with theme Training On Media And Politics : The Role of Internet on Democratic Values and Ethics in Digital Journalism for 1st Batch organised by Arewa Scholars Educational Consultant and Sponsored by the Office Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, held at Kano School Of Management Studies, on Tuesday.
Dawakin Tofa who is also the Spokesperson of Governor Yusuf said the workshop is not only an opportunity for enlightenment but also a crucial moment for the aides to reinforce collectively and commit to the principles that guide towards dynamic intersection of media and governance.
He added that ” as we embark on this journey together, I want to emphasize the doctrine that should resonate within our ranks: One Team, One Goal, One Message.
“In an era where the lines between information and influence blur, it is imperative that we present a united front. Our strength lies not in individual voices, but in the harmonious symphony of our collective efforts.
“When we align our objectives and communicate a singular message, we not only enhance the effectiveness of our outreach but also fortify the trust and credibility that the public places in us,” the director general affirmed.
Dawakin Tofa charged the media and political aides to be be vigilant and strategic, reminding them that that “our responsibility is not just to inform, but to inspire and to engage in meaningful conversations that elevate the discourse around governance and public policy.”
“With our unity,” the spokesperson said, “we can harness the diverse talents and perspectives within our team and together, we can craft narratives that reflect our shared vision for progress, accountability, and transparency.”
While appreciating the facilitators and participants for supporting the present administration visions and mission towards progressive society under Governor Yusuf, the director general encourage the participants to embrace the spirit of teamwork and innovation to achieve greatly.
Among the facilitators are Prof. Sule Yau Sule, Prof. Mainasara Kurfi, Immediate past, Kano State Chapter, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Alhaji Aminu Hamza.
