Members of the Gospel Singers of the United Methodist Church UMC has been call to ensure that they register and collect their voters card in ongoing revalidation of voters registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
The Chairman of Gospel Singers of the United Methodist Church UMC, Evangelist Daniel Simon Bolki, made the call during the 20th Annual Conference held at UMC Center of Grace Camp Ground, Appawa, Zing Road, Lau Local Government, Taraba State.

“I call on you to join political activities which is acceptable to us.
“Each member should ensure that he/she get registered in the ongoing INEC voters registration, for it is the only weapon to choose credible leaders.
“We have one of us from Zing local government whom contested and worn the Chairmanship of the council and has helped many of us, so you can see the advantage of joining politics. We should not relent in our efforts, henceforth in electing our members into key elected positions.
He urge members to seek knowledge by furthering their education.
“I call on you to seek knowledge for everything now is only achievable through education. With education, we can defend our rights. Go for any Certificate, for we need Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, Engineers amongst others. Go to school, for God told Hosea that ”My people perish because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
Evangelist Bolki further call on members to be obedient to their Pastors, Parents and the Church.
“I call on members to be obedient for your life to be long on earth. We should also respect one another, the younger should respect their seniors, while seniors should not look down on the juniors, for if we do so, we will get blessings from God.
He pleaded with Parents and District Superintendents to exercise patient with the Gospel Singers of the Confidence and Pastors in charge of Districts and Zones, adding that some members are yet to grow in the spirit.
He also call on members to pray for their Parents and especially the Dean of Cabinet, Rev. Dr. Philip Micah Dopah for his leadership role in the Church and all groups and members of the Southern Conference.
“We should pray for our leaders in local governments, Taraba State and the Nation (Nigeria), that God should help them to lead us in his fear in their hearts.
The Chairman use the medium to appreciate God and members for giving him the opportunity to lead the Gospel Singers group and the Dean of Cabinet Rev Dr. Philip Micah Dopah for his support and advice to group at all times. He further appreciated the Fourty Two District Superintendents of the Confidence, Chairman of Evangelism Ministry, Rev. Solomon Jediel and the Director of Evangelism, Rev. Jonah Wakili which through him that the Group is under for their support.
In his remarks, the Dean of Cabinet, Rev. Dr. Philip Micah Dopah urge members to love their Pastors, Evangelists their parents and guardians.
According to him, the rules of the Southern Conference is doing good, loving each other and doing no harm to any one.
He encourage every Church to be financially independent, adding that Jesus Christ died for us to live and we should do something for others to live.
“Our key word is doing people discipleship for Christ.
Rev. Dr. Dopah use the forum to call on members of Gospel Singers group to pray for the government of Governor Abgu Kefas for the development of the state.
He further call on them to ensure that they participate on ongoing INEC voters registration exercise.
“Everyone of you should participate in the ongoing INEC voters registration, for it is the only weapon for electing our members and for democracy to progress in Taraba State and Nigeria at large – he said.
In its goodwill message, the Media Team appreciated people and members for making the program a success.
