Minister of Women Affairs Assures Nigerians of Better Days Ahead

Minister for Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Assures Nigerians and Staff of the Ministry of Brighter Days to come Through Concrete Action and Strategic Actions in the Social Development Sector

The Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has issued a statement to assure all Nigerians and the dedicated staff of the Ministry of a new era of progress and brighter days ahead. The Minister’s assurance comes as the Ministry intensifies its work to deliver on the “Renewed Hope” agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The work we are doing today is not just about making promises for tomorrow; it is about taking concrete, strategic steps to build a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria for all,” the Minister stated. She underscored that her leadership is focused on ensuring that every initiative translates into tangible benefits for women, children, the family and vulnerable persons.

To this end, the Ministry is spearheading several high-impact programs designed to drive economic empowerment and social well-being.
The Minister also addressed the Ministry’s commitment to its internal workforce, stating, “My pledge to the staff of this Ministry is a renewed commitment to a culture of excellence, transparency, and a conducive working environment. Your dedication is the engine of our progress, and together, we will build a legacy of service and impact.”

The Minister highlighted the Ministry’s proactive approach to social protection and provision of support to distribute essential relief materials to vulnerable women and families nationwide. Furthermore, she reaffirmed her zero-tolerance stance on gender-based violence, with the Ministry actively working to strengthen support systems and ensure justice for survivors.

“I am confident that through our collective effort, we are building a foundation for a future where every Nigerian woman and child can thrive,” the Minister concluded. “Brighter days are not just a hope; they are the result of our deliberate actions and unwavering commitment.”

The Minister announced plans to host a strategic retreat for all staff of the Ministry in order to ensure alignment of the work of the Ministry with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President.
