NAWOJ FCT Vice Chairperson Honoured with Role Model Award

It was showers of encomium and congratulations to Amb. Rebecca Bolanle Ukpevo the Vice Chairperson, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter, who has been honoured with a ROLE MODEL AWARD in recognition of her selfless service to humanity, good leadership quality, research and development, mentorship and empowerment. She is also proudly a member of The Nigeria League of Women Voters, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ and the Sisterhood Nigeria.

The GreenLand News Magazine recognised the Vice Chairperson, NAWOJ, along other Awardees during her Annual Lecture / Award with the Theme – GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND RISING COST OF LIVING IN NIGERIA: The Gains, Losses and the Way Forward, which held on Saturday in Abuja.

Mrs Ukpevo is recognized for her outstanding contributions to journalism, youth mentorship and empowerment, and humanitarian services. Rebecca has offered scholarships to over 100 children through her pet project, Estrellas Schools located at the Wumba rural area of the FCT, since 2013 till date.

Worthy of note is Amb. Rebecca’s meritorious service in contributing to the growth of female journalists and giving support to the less privileged in the society even at a time of economic crunch in the country.

In attendance were other Awardees, Dr. Binta Lawal Bangiwa a Lecturer at the Nassarawa State University, Prof. Lucky Omoigui, Yeye. Adesola Oyinloye-Ndu, the Convener and Chairperson of Lefties and Ambidextrous Care Initiative among others.

Management of Weekenders magazine congratulates her and wish her more recognitions for her selfless service to humanity.
