The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), National Secretariat, facilitates with all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world as they mark Eid-el-Kabir 2026.
Eid-el-Kabir commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice for Allah. It is a season that reminds us of the values of obedience, selflessness, generosity, and service to humanity.

NAWOJ urges Nigerians to reflect on these values and extend hands of kindness to the less privileged in our communities. In this period of economic and social challenges, acts of compassion and solidarity are more important than ever.
NAWOJ also call on leaders at all levels to demonstrate sacrificial leadership by prioritizing the welfare, security, and dignity of citizens. To our members in the media, we encourage responsible, balanced, and sensitive reportage that promotes peace, unity, and national cohesion during and after the celebrations.
May the blessings of Eid bring peace to our homes, healing to our nation, and renewed hope for a just and prosperous Nigeria.
Eid Mubarak to all Muslim brothers and sisters.
