NAWOJ FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL. ON THE CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has felicitated with the good people of Nigeria, particularly the Christian community, as they celebrate this year’s Christmas and New year festivities.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by NAWOJ National Chairperson Comrade Aisha Ibrahim K BURA and NAWOJ National Secretary Comrade Wasilah Ladan.
They called on Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasizes love, tolerance, patience, care for the needy and peaceful coexistence among the people of Nigeria.
While celebrating, NAWOJ urged the general public to continue living in peace and shun any forms of violence in order to protect the lives and properties of all Citizens.
The statement further enjoined Christians to use this festive season to pray for unity, peace and prosperity for the country and extend their helping hands to the destitutes, as
it’s a period of gifts, reconciliation,and sharing of good fortune.
