The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, (NAWOJ) has received food items from the Chief Imam of Alfur’Qan Juma’at Mosque, Kano, Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar and shared it among Muslim members in the state.

The National Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim, appreciates the kind gesture and pray that Allah replenish his wealth abundantly.
While distributing items, such as rice and maccaroni to its members at NUJ Press Centre Kano, the National Chairperson who was represented by the National Secretary, Wasilah Ladan commended Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar for his Ramadan support to Women Journalists in Kano State.
Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim called on other philanthropists to consider Journalists in their relief package, and she also urged other well-meaning members of society to do the same.
Comrade Wasila Ladan noted that NAWOJ has widows and single mothers who cater to the lives of their orphans, as such members need support from prominent people and politicians.
Thirty-two members of the association have received rice and maccaroni to support the fasting.
Hajia Sakina Kabara of Pyramid FM Kano, who spoke on behalf of the benificiaries, thanked NAWOJ National Secretariat for supporting women journalists in the state.
