In recent weeks, Nigerian women and girls have dazzled the world with extraordinary performances in sports, academics, and talent competitions—flying our nation’s flag with pride and honour. These achievements are not only personal victories but national milestones that reflect the limitless potential of our women when talent is matched with opportunity and support.

I express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for graciously honouring these outstanding champions whose excellence has brought glory to our nation.
Your recognition of their achievements sends a powerful message that the contributions of women are valued at the highest levels of leadership. It inspires a generation of girls to believe in their dreams, work hard, and strive for excellence in all fields of endeavour.
I am equally deeply grateful to our dear Mother, our grand patron,Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for her unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and gender development. Your consistent encouragement, advocacy, and investment in women’s growth have created a wave of progress that is being felt in every part of the country.
The recent victories by our champions — the Super Falcons with their historic 10th WAFCON title; D’Tigress, winners of the 2025 AfroBasket Championship for the fifth consecutive time; Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu, Rukayya Muhammad Fema, and Hadiza Kashim Kalli of Yobe State, gold medalists at the TeenEagle Global Finals in London; the unbeaten FRSC Female Handball Team, champions of the Ardova Premier League; and Mariam Eniola Bolaji, para-badminton gold medalist at the British & Irish Para-Badminton International in Cardiff — stand as shining examples of what Nigerian women can achieve on the global stage.
Nigerian Women are very grateful for all that you are doing for us Mummy.
I also acknowledge with deep respect the mothers, mentors, coaches, and families whose sacrifices and guidance have shaped these champions. Their values and support have been the silent foundation of these remarkable accomplishments.
To every young woman and girl across Nigeria, I urge you to draw strength and inspiration from these champions. Let their stories remind you that no dream is too big, no goal too far, and no barrier too strong to break. With focus, courage, and determination, you too can rise to greatness and make your mark on the world.
Your Excellencies, your leadership has given these achievements greater meaning by celebrating them nationally and encouraging every Nigerian girl to dream bigger and aim higher.
