Niger State House of Assembly standing committee on information and strategies and digital economy has held an interface with the two ministries to dialogue and proffer solutions that will bring rapid development to the state.
The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Ndagi Baba during the interface, said that government needs to give proper attention to the state owned media outfit.
Ndagi said empowering the state owned media outfit will give the government edge over the private media sector as it will portray government activities adequately.
He said that he is aware of the challenges the present government is facing but attention should be giving to this two important ministries in other for them to succeed.
He therefore added that he’s committee will support the two ministries in every possible way.
Earlier,The Commissioner Information and strategy Hon Binta Mamman in her submission complained about media houses and booster stations that are down, adding that Bida still operate on Amplitude modulation (A M ) station instead of FM station which has the wider coverage .
The Commissioner appeal for legislative support in ensuring the ministry receives what is approved to carry out the capital projects in the state.
