The Minister of State, Trade, Industry and Investment Senator John Owan Enoh on Thursday 8th May 2025 inaugurated the 13 Member Board of the Governing Council of the Industrial Training Fund in Abuja with a call on the Council to ensure that they take the ITF to greater heights in line with government’s industrialization Programme.
The Minister of State, Trade Industry and Investment, noted that the inauguration of the new Council chaired by Hon Hamma Alikumo, marks a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s drive to bridge workforce skill gaps and align talent development with industry demands.

Senator Enoh emphasised the critical role of ITF in preparing Nigeria’s workforce for a highly competitive global economy, advocating for technology-driven training programs, industry-academia partnerships, and strategic resource utilisation to accelerate progress.
The board chairman extended his gratitude to the Honourable Minister and pledged to align efforts with national priorities, ensuring their leadership drives meaningful economic growth and industrial resilience.
The inauguration represents a bold step toward Nigeria’s industrial transformation, reinforcing the government’s commitment to economic diversification, sustainable development, and long-term prosperity.

Among those inaugurated on the new Board of the Industrial Training Fund, ITF was Mrs Ngozi Oyewole, a Council member and Chairperson Wood & Wood/ furniture products of the Sectoral Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), is also the Continental President of The Commonwealth Business Women Africa(CBW Africa) and an alumnus of the Saiid Business School University of Oxford.
Mrs Oyewole is representing The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) on the Board. She is also a fellow of the Institute of The Nigeria Training and Development ( NITAD) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Nigeria ( CIoD).

She brings to the table years of experience in the economic and business sectors of Nigeria’s development.
Meanwhile various groups and associations have been congratulating Mrs Ngozi Oyewole on her appointment as a member of the Governing Council of the Industrial Training Fund describing it as well deserved.
