Chairman House Committee on Information and Strategy at the Niger State House of Assembly has been mandated to convene and lead press briefing,alongside sponsors of motions and Bill after each plenary session .
This emulated from a motion moved by the legislator representing Tafa Constituency Hon.Mohammed Sani at the floor of the house.

The legislator of Tafa Constituency explained that the current situation undermines the accurate and timely dissemination of information,thereby limiting public engagement and transparency.
Mohammed Sani stressed that the press center, which was established with the mandate to conduct press briefing at the end of each plenary session, no longer fulfills its intended purpose.
Meanwhile,the House unamouisly agree resolve to also mandate the Committee on Information to enhance publicity of the 10th Assembly activities by establishing a weekly News Bulletin.
In a related development,Niger state House of Assembly has also mandated Committee on Works and Infrastructure to conduct a formal investigation into why the building project at the general hospital Minna is yet to completed after several years of commencement.
This is sequel in a motion raised at the plenary on Wednesday by member Hon.Umar Nasir of Paikoro Constituency
Hon.Umar Nasir observed that after several years of commencement of the building yet to completed and with the increase in number of ill people has already over stretch the facilities making it more deplorable couple with the shortage of bed space available in wards.
“Some patients are afraid of going to the hospital for fear of aggravating their health conditions “
However, the presentation of a private member bill for a law to establish Niger state Hisbah Board and for other matters connected Thereto 2025 has been led for first reading by Hon.Mohammed Abubakar member representing Chanchaga Constituency.
