The Deputy Governor of Niger state Comrade Yakubu Garba has called on Elders and leaders of Maikunkele forum at all level be ambassadors of peace, progress, and development of the state.
The Deputy Governor stated this at the Maikunkele Elders’ Forum end of the year programme, stating that the programme is an annual event where sons and daughters of Maikunkele district converge to appreciate God for their many breakthroughs.
Yakubu Garba described Maikunkele eleders as a fortress that has contributed immensely to his making. He reminisced the days of his humble beginning and how Maikunkele community significantly shaped his mindset about life and humanity,while
urging the community leaders to support the “New Niger” agenda of Governor Bago.
Also speaking the District Head of Maikunkele, civil servants, academics, women, and youths reaffirmed their commitment and resolve to always support the present administration,while applauded the Deputy Governor for always identifying with the common people of the society.
