Niger State Governor Umaru Bago has reassured Nigerlites of its commitment to people-centered policies and programs
The governor reaffirmed this at the empowerment program of Seven Hundred and Sixteen (716) youths facilitated by Hon. Sani Umar member representing Kontagora one Constituency on saturday.
The governor, who spoke through his deputy governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, said that youth empowerment is a panacea to unemployment, youth restiveness, and economic downturn, and described constituency intervention projects and programs.
Bago applauded the Member for his unwavering support and harmonious working relationship,stating that He attributed the successes of the government thus far to the seamless support and foresight of the legislators in also aligning with the vision of a New Niger.
The governor re-echoed his resolve to always entrench cohesion between the executive and the legislature with a view to delivering dividends of democracy to the electorates.
Earlier, the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji appreciated the governor for not interfering with legislative engagements, which has inculcated the best democratic principles in governance and the polity.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, Alh. Aminu Bobi thanked the governor for his several support to the party and his uncommon administrative prowess that has brought unprecedented changes in all ramifications.
Memeber reprsenting Kontagora one constituency and the facilitator of the empowerment program and the Honorable Hon Sani Umar said youth empowerment is a bedrock to economic development, and commended the Governor for providing the enabling environment for legislative intervention projects and programs.
