Nigeria @ 66 : Elumelu Celebrates Nation, Hails Founding Fathers, Pledges Greater Devt for Aniocha/Oshimili

The former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Elumelu, in a goodwill message, particularly felicitated with the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, while paying glowing tribute to Nigeria’s founding fathers for their sacrifices, courage and vision in laying the foundation for an independent nation.

He commended Nigerians for their resilience, hard work and determination to keep the nation moving despite daunting challenges, noting that Nigeria’s strength lies in the capacity of its people to persevere and remain committed to unity and peaceful co-existence.

According to him, 66 years of nationhood should not only be a moment of celebration, but also an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the nation’s journey, appreciate the progress made and renew collective commitment to building a united and prosperous country.

The former lawmaker expressed optimism that Nigeria is endowed with the human and material resources required to achieve greater development, urging citizens not to lose faith in the Nigerian project.

Elumelu also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the efforts of his administration through the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the reforms and initiatives of the Federal Government are geared towards strengthening the nation and creating greater opportunities for Nigerians.

He noted that the success of any government depends largely on the cooperation and support of the people, and called on Nigerians to continue to contribute their quota to national development while remaining hopeful for a better tomorrow.

The APC candidate further commended the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his love for Deltans and his efforts in strengthening government interventions at the grassroots.

He specifically lauded the Governor’s empowerment initiative being implemented through Local Government Council Chairmen, their Vice Chairmen and Councillors across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state, describing it as a strategic approach to taking economic support closer to ordinary citizens.

Elumelu said the resilience, support and confidence of the people of Aniocha/Oshimili remain a source of encouragement to him, expressing deep appreciation for their continued solidarity.

He assured the people of the constituency that when elected in 2027 to return to the House of Representatives, the development of Aniocha/Oshimili and the improvement of the welfare and economic opportunities of its people will remain at the heart of his legislative agenda.

He said he looks forward to a future where more communities across Aniocha/Oshimili will experience meaningful development and more constituents will have access to opportunities that will improve their livelihoods.

Elumelu urged the people to continue to believe in themselves, support development-driven initiatives and remain committed to peace, unity and progress in their communities.

“On this 66th Independence Anniversary, I celebrate with all Nigerians, especially the good people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. I salute our founding fathers and every Nigerian whose courage, sacrifices, hard work and resilience have sustained our nation.

“Our journey has not been without challenges, but Nigeria remains a country of immense possibilities. We must therefore keep hope alive and continue to work together for the Nigeria we desire.

“I appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the efforts being made through the Renewed Hope Agenda to move our country forward. With the cooperation, understanding and support of Nigerians, I believe we can build a stronger country whose future generations will be proud of.

“I equally commend our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his love for the people of Delta State and particularly for initiatives that are taking empowerment to the grassroots through our Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors.

“To my brothers and sisters in Aniocha/Oshimili, I deeply appreciate your support, confidence and resolve. I assure you that, if given the opportunity to return to the House of Representatives in 2027, the development of our Constituency and the empowerment of our people will remain a priority. He prayed for peace, stability, wisdom and divine guidance for Nigeria’s leaders and citizens, while wishing all Nigerians a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary celebration.
