The Head of the Nigerian Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, on Wednesday announced Nigeria’s hosting of the inaugural International Civil Service Conference (ICSC).

The event will take place from June 25–26, 2025 in Abuja, as part of the broader 2025 African Public Service Day and Civil Service Week celebrations.
Themed “Rejuvenate, Innovate & Accelerate!”, the conference aims to reposition Nigeria’s Civil Service as a 21st-century driver of sustainable development. With over 5,000 delegates expected, including thought leaders from the UK, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Ghana, and beyond, the ICSC will promote cross-border collaboration, reform exchange, and digital governance.

Highlights include:
- Keynotes from global reformers
- Roundtables on innovation, digitalisation, and citizen-focused service
- A special platform for young public servants
- An MOU signing and a showcase of 100+ public-private sector exhibitions
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will officially declare open the Conference on June 25 at Eagle Square. The Head of Service also extended a call for sponsorships, inviting the private sector to align with national transformation at various sponsorship tiers.
This groundbreaking event signals Nigeria’s commitment to the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25) and Agenda 2063 of the African Union.
