The country has led with diplomacy in addressing regional crises, such as the situation in Niger Republic, and has supported the ECOWAS Early Warning Mechanism and regional security architecture.

Regional Partnership for Democracy
Nigeria has also launched the Regional Partnership for Democracy, a multilateral initiative aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, civic space, and rule of law in transitional states. This initiative reflects Nigeria’s commitment to defending African democracies from within.

Economic Diplomacy and Global Partnerships
Under President Tinubu’s directive, Nigeria’s foreign policy has been repositioned to deliver tangible economic dividends. The President has undertaken 36 strategic international missions, resulting in over $50 billion in foreign investment pledges in critical sectors. Nigeria has also signed landmark agreements with countries such as China, India, and France.
