…ASSURES OF TURNING UP FOR ELECTION IN DEC 4 EN-MASS
Seven days to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council Elections 2024, the Grace Ike Campaign Council (GICC) on Wednesday received overwhelming endorsement from federated chapels and Peoples Daily Chapel during the teams campaign tour of the chapels.
The federated chapels visited today include, Information, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), KAPITAL FM and the Voice of Nigeria (VON).
This is just as the leaders of the various chapels, while declaring trust on the incoming Grace-led Exco to change the narrative, assures of mobilising their members ro the December 4, 2024 NUJ FCT Council Elections to vote and affirm the leadership of the One Voice New Era team.
During the visit to the various chapels, the GICC DG, Prof Philip Nyam presented Comrade Grace Ike for Chairperson and members of the One Voice New Era team, Comrade Yahaya Ndambabo for Vice Chairman, Comrade Jide Oyekunle for Secretary and Comrade Sandra Udeike for Treasurer.
The incoming Chairperson of council, Comrade Ike, while speaking during the campaign tour described herself as the best and befitting to lead the council to an enviable heights because of her track record of unprecedented performance and achievements, her laudable capacity, competence, content, proven character of probity, accountability and transparency as well as charisma over the years.
She assured further that her tenure when inaugurated would focus on professionalism, welfare, training, health insurance for all members, establishment of Journalists’ village, inclusivity, a befitting Internet-ready press centre amongst others.
Highpoints of the exercise at the various chapels were presentation of campaign materials including posters, face caps t-shirts and brochures.
