The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Information Chapel, has passed a vote of confidence on the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Obed Nuhu Nana, and the Director of Information Services, Mr. Yunusa Saidu Ibrahim, citing their impressive performance and impactful leadership within a short period in office.
The resolution was reached at the Chapel’s Congress Meeting held in Minna, where members unanimously commended the duo for their leadership style, vision, and administrative achievements.

Announcing the decision, Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Jibril Usman Kodo, said the Commissioner and the Director have demonstrated strong commitment, professionalism, and capacity in repositioning the Ministry for improved efficiency and service delivery.
He described their appointments as well-deserved and timely, noting that their leadership has brought noticeable improvements across various departments.
Kodo further highlighted the introduction of innovative reforms that have enhanced service delivery, boosted staff morale, and strengthened welfare within the Ministry.
He added that the ongoing transformation, particularly in digital information management and public communication, reflects purposeful leadership and strategic direction.
The Chairman reaffirmed the Chapel’s support for the Ministry’s leadership and pledged continued cooperation in promoting professionalism, ethical journalism, and effective information dissemination in Niger State.
Members expressed optimism that the current leadership would consolidate on existing gains and sustain policies and programmes aimed at strengthening the information sector.
The Chapel also urged the Commissioner, the Director, and the Ministry’s management to remain focused and committed to delivering on their mandate for the benefit of the state and its citizens.
