Permanent Secretary Hands Over to New Commissioner at Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation

The Permanent Secretary Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Akilu Musa Kuta, has handed over to the new Commissioner, Engineer Faruq Umaru Audi at the ministry’s headquarters in Minna.

The handover note highlighted the ministry’s achievements, challenges, and recommendations for the way forward.

According to the handover note, the ministry has made significant progress in increasing access to safe drinking water despite it limited resources and challenges.

Responding, the new Commissioner of Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Engineer Faruq Umaru Audi, has pledged to work closely with engineers and other professionals to address the challenges facing the sector and has expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Niger State Farmer Umaru Muhammad Bago, for the opportunity to serve.

He also recognized the importance of providing clean water and emphasized the need for cooperation and collaboration to solve water-related issues in the State.
