Edo Tourism Boss Lady Vivian Elabor Returns Home for Thanksgiving, Reaffirms Commitment to Esan South East

Ubiaja, Esan South East, Edo State – 14 December 2025 – The Director General of the Edo State Tourism Agency, Lady Vivian Elabor, returned to her ancestral home of Ubiaja on Sunday for a Special Thanksgiving celebration that blended gratitude to God with appreciation for the support of her community.

The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Catholic Church in Ubiaja, where Lady Elabor offered “profound thanks to Almighty God (El ROI).”

Following the spiritual service, the festivities moved to her father’s compound in Eguare, where she hosted a resounding reception for her constituents. A jubilant crowd gathered to honour the daughter of Ubiaja, whose leadership has drawn admiration across the region. In her address, Lady Elabor described her people as her “pillar of support and strength after God.” She also expressed deep gratitude to the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the trust placed in her.

“I am immensely grateful to His Excellency for the platform to contribute to the growth and visibility of our dear state,” she said.

The event also marked the birthday of her father, Elder Prince Francis Elabor, adding a familial dimension to the communal celebration. Engaging with attendees, Lady Elabor encouraged her people to remain steadless and united in pushing Esan South East to greater heights. She reaffirmed her commitment to using her office to draw positive attention, tourism and development to the region.

“My homecoming is not just a celebration, but a renewal of my vow to be a vocal and active champion for Esan South East. We will work tirelessly to ensure our unique heritage and potential receive the recognition and investment they deserve,” she affirmed.

The gathering highlighted the deep connection between leadership and grassroots, underscoring a shared vision for progress and development in Edo State.

The Edo State Tourism Agency, responsible for promoting the state’s rich cultural heritage, historical sites and tourism potential, continues its work under Lady Elabor’s leadership to position Edo as a premier destination for domestic and international tourists.
