SWS FCT Chairperson Hails Lydia Samson, Angela Nebo on NUJ FCT Honours

The Chairperson of the Standup for Women Society, SWS FCT Chapter Lib Mina Daniels, has congratulated the Vice Chairperson of the chapter, Lydia Samson, and the Liaison Officer for Persons With Disabilities, Angela Nebo, on their recognition and honour by the Nigeria Union of Journalists FCT Council during its 2026 Press Week celebration held at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Abuja.


In a statement, Lib Mina Daniels described the honour bestowed on the two distinguished women as well deserved, noting that their dedication, resilience, and commitment to service continue to inspire many within and outside the media and advocacy space.


She commended the NUJ FCT Council for recognising excellence and celebrating women who have continued to make meaningful contributions to society, especially in the areas of inclusion, leadership, and community development.










According to her, the recognition of Lydia Samson and Angela Nebo reflects their outstanding impact and unwavering commitment to humanity and the empowerment of vulnerable groups.


“The award is a testament to their hard work, passion, and selfless contributions to society. We are proud of their achievements and confident that this recognition will encourage them to continue doing more for humanity,” the statement added.


The SWS FCT Chairperson further prayed for greater accomplishments for the award recipients and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to promoting inclusiveness, women empowerment, and social justice.
