Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army have apprehended three suspects collaborating with terrorist elements in Taraba State.
The Acting Assistant Director, 6 Bridge Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni stated this in a statement issue to Journalists in Jalingo.

The statement reads in parts,
“The operation, carried out with precision and intelligence, took place on 15 October 2024 at Landey Jessy village of Lau Local Government Areas (LGA).
“Acting on intelligence reports of some Bandits presence in Kona range of mountains which cut across Jalingo and Lau LGAs, troops of 6 Brigade conducted operations around the general area which led to the arrest of 3 Suspected collaborators named Ahijo Sulaiman, Abdulrahman Isah and Aisha Mohammed.

The statement said that during the investigation, Aisha Mohammed who is married to Ahijo Sulaiman confessed that Ahijo’s residence is used for hiding their weapons after operations.

“Abdulrahman on the other hand was identified by a victim he attempted to kidnap in Iware of Ardo-Kola LGA sometimes in September 2024.
“The suspects are currently in own custody undergoing further investigation.
The statement added that the Nigerian Army remains committed to the protection of lives and property, as well as the preservation of the nation’s territorial integrity.

“We urge the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies as we work together to rid the country of terrorism and other forms of insecurity – the statement concluded.
