Kano State Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, has declared that the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf administration has fulfilled almost all its campaign promises within its first year in office. Dantiye highlighted various projects in infrastructure development, social amenities, and empowerment, with a significant focus on education and women empowerment.

He noted that the state government has declared a state of emergency in education and has invested heavily in the sector. Additionally, 10,400 beneficiaries across the 44 local governments have received women empowerment funds totaling N520 million.

Dantiye acknowledged the challenges faced by street hawkers but emphasized that the government is working to address their concerns. He attributed past failures to the previous administration, stating, “Gods are not to blame, we’re trying to figure out what went wrong in the past eight years.”

The commissioner expressed gratitude to the people of Kano State for their support and understanding. He assured that the government remains committed to the welfare of the people, prompt payment of pensioners’ gratuity, and continuation of ongoing projects, including the construction of flyovers and interlocks to decongest road traffic.
