President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to replicating transformative infrastructure projects like those in the Federal Capital Territory across all regions of Nigeria.
Tinubu, represented by Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, stated this during the commissioning of the right-hand service carriageway of the Inner Northern Expressway (INEX) in Abuja.

The President, who emphasized that no part of the country will be left behind in the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressed readiness to extend similar developmental strides across the six geopolitical zones, ensuring that roads, bridges, and other public infrastructure serve as pillars for national growth and unity.
“As we commission this vital road today, we are reminded that meaningful development must be inclusive. This project is a reflection of what is possible when leadership, planning, and execution work in harmony, and we are determined to replicate this model in every part of Nigeria.”

The newly commissioned INEX carriageway links Route 3 to the Murtala Muhammed Way and is a critical component of the FCT Master Plan aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity.
The road, located within the Idu Industrial Park, is also expected to create over 40,000 jobs and boost economic activity in the territory.
President Tinubu praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his quality-driven and timely delivery of projects. “You have contributed largely to the future of our capital. What we see here today is not just a road, it is a symbol of progress and a testament to our development vision.”
President Tinubu urged residents and road users to take ownership of the infrastructure, saying: “Protect these assets, obey traffic rules, and remember that they are not just for us, but for generations yet unborn.”

Speaking earlier, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike stressed that the infrastructure around Idu will catalyze industrial growth, create 40,000 direct jobs, and enhance the city’s logistics backbone.
Wike expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for keeping his promise to commission 10 out of 17 completed projects as part of activities marking the second year of the administration.
