PROJECTS EXECUTED BY MINISTRY OF TERTIARY EDUCATION UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION OF GOVERNOR FRANCIS OGBONNA NWIFURU, FNIOB, GGCEHF
In line with the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda of His Excellency Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FNIOB, GGCEHF) administration, which places premium on the education sector, the Governor has invested massively on tertiary education. Reason the Commissioner Tertiary Education Ebonyi State, Prof Amari Omaka, SAN scored him A+.

On resumption of office, the governor swung into action in the massive development of the physical structures in all tertiary institutions in the state to make them worldclass universities and institutions. These include:
Establishment and building of
- Ebonyi State University of ICT Oferekpe,
- University Of Aeronautic and Aerospace Engineering Ezza
And addition and Improvement in the physical structures of: 3. Ebonyi State University Abakaliki - Ebonyi State College of Education Ikwo.
Projects going on in these universities and colleges contemporaneously include, but are not limited to: - BUILDING OF STATE OF THE ART SENATE BUILDING THE
UNIVERSITY OF ICT OFEREKPE
The University of ICT Oferekpe has a world-class standard and massive Senate building that equally houses the administrative block building and progressive work at the administrative block of the College of Education Ikwo. The Senate building is about 90% completed.

- CONSTRUCTION OF 8 NOS 3-STOREY HOSTEL BLOCKS AT THE
UNIVERSITY OF ICT, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF AERONAUTIC
ENGINEERING
Building of 8 nos luxury 3-storey hostel bedroom complexes for the students at the University of ICT and University of Aeronautic Engineering which is of international standard, the hostel is of 8 units comprising of male and female hostels. - CONSTRUCTION OF 8 NOS 2-STOREY BUILDING FOR JUNIOR/
SENIOR STAFF QUARTERS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ICT, AND
THE UNIVERSITY OF AERONAUTIC ENGINEERING
Construction of 8 nos luxury 2-storey junior and senior staff quarters for the lecturers and other staff of the University of ICT and University of Aeronautic Engineering, many of which are now being decked.

- CONSTRUCTION OF 12 NOS FACULTY BUILDINGS AT THE
UNIVERSITY OF ICT, UNIVERSITY OF AERONAUTIC
ENGINEERING AND EBSU
Construction of 12 nos luxury 2-storey faculty buildings at the University of ICT and University of Aeronautic Engineering. Including a brand-new signature Law Faculty Complex at CAS Campus of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki, and a New classy Education Faculty Complex at the Ishieke campus of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki
- COMPLETED THE RENOVATION OF EBSU PG BUILDING Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has also completed the renovation of EBSU postgraduate school, including re-roofing, ceiling and painting.
- CONSTRUCTION OF INTERNAL ROADS WITH
STREETLIGHTING AT EBSU AND EBSCOE
The Ebonyi State University Abakaliki has assumed a new look as the Governor has constructed the internal roads with concrete pavement and installed streetlights, especially at the main campus of the university.

- FENCING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ICT AND THE AERONAUTIC
UNIVERSITY
The perimeter fencing of the University of ICT and the Aeronautic University is about 95% complete, and approval has been given to complete the fencing of the main campus of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki. - CONSTRUCTION OF 16 NOS RESETTLEMENT OF DISPLACED
PERSONS’ BUILDINGS AT ICT UNIVERSITY OFEREKPE
His Excellency has completed the construction of 16 nos. resettlement of displaced persons buildings at the permanent Site of ICT University. It comprises of 15 bungalows and 1 duplex.
- SUCCESSFUL SPONSORSHIP OF SUNDRY POSTGRADUATE
STUDENTS TO UNIVERSITIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND NIGERIA
A total of 232 students have been awarded a full and comprehensive scholarship to study at the University of Bolton Manchester, and Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge, United Kingdom; and close to 700 sponsored to do their master’s and doctorate programmes in different universities in Nigeria.
- INCREASE IN SUBVENTION AND STAFF WELFARE
The Governor has done massively well in the welfare of the staff of EBSU, as their salaries have been increased with all outstanding allowances paid, with subvention paid to tertiary institutions increased. For example. In EBSU the subvention was increased from 150 to 270 million naira monthly. - STUDENTS WELFARE
In the aspects of students, the Governor has done massively well, through the reduction of students’ school fees by 10% and providing transportation that takes students directly to campus and back home.
