Weekenders Magazine Online Joins the World to Celebrate the Boy Child : Targets 10,000 Boys in Advocacy

Weekenders Magazine Online proudly joined the world in celebrating the Boy Child on May 16th 2025. This year’s celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of nurturing and guiding our boys to become responsible and productive members of society. And targets 10,000 boys across schools in the FCT.

Parents as Role Models
As part of the celebration, the Executive Director of Weekenders Media Commercial Limited, publishers of Weekenders Magazine Online, Princess Joy Omagha Idam, emphasized the critical role parents play in shaping the lives of their children. “Children emulate what they see, and both parents must be careful as children see them as role models,” she notes.

Princess Idam, hinted that as part of the activities lined up to mark the Day, Weekenders magazine online would embark on an Advocacy campaign with her team to 30 Schools within the FCT the City Center and talk to the boys, Share Disinfectant, Brooms, Note books, writing materials, school bags, school uniforms and Other needs.

The Importance of Mothers and Teachers
are particularly crucial in the upbringing of the boy child. They must do more to instill values, provide guidance, and offer support to help boys grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.

By investing in the boy child, we are shaping the future of our society. It’s essential to provide boys with positive role models, mentorship, and guidance to help them become good citizens who contribute positively to their communities.
