The Zamfara State Chapter of People Democratic Party (PDP) has raised concern over alleged bribery of the Zamfara state elections petitions tribunal by a strong supporter of APC in the state.
The concern was raised by the acting chairman of the party, Mukhtar Lugga while briefing journalists in his office on the alleged bribe given to the judges of the tribunal by APC to deliver judgement in their favor. He said currently there is video circulating in the social media posted by Apc support one Anas Anka boasting that the tribunal has been induced with money to write judgement of the tribunal in favor of the APC
He said in the said video, Anas was heard telling his friends how APC has made adequate arrangements to buy judgement in its favor.
The PDP condemned the video and called on security agencies to investigate the Anas Anka to find the genuine source of the video to avoid back clash with the judiciary.
The party called National Judicial Council to order full investigation on the allegations foul play on the part of judges of the tribunal as levelled against them by Anas Anka. The PDP also appeal to DSS to invite the Editor In Chief of the Thunder Blower TV, Anas Anka for questioning and retrieve the yet to be delivered judgement he claims to have in his possession on the outstanding cases of the tribunal.
Lugga called on the former Governor of Zamfara state and senator of Zamfara west , Abdulaziz Yari,to as a matter of urgency clear his name from the allegations of bribery, financial inducement and corruption levelled against him by Anas Anka.
He further Said the PDP is compelled and duty bound as a congregation of responsible citizens that bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic to bring this issues to the of the authorities in order to forestall the possibility of break down of law and order as well as protect the integrity of the judiciary.
